Have you seen the recent article in the Seattle Times about storm warnings in Western Washington? The article, which you can find here , is very insightful and reminds us all that during the winter months, Seattle is liable to have a few storms and that every household should be prepared for such occasions.

For more information please visit ‘ Take Winter By Storm ‘, which is a great place to find tips and resources for Western Washington residents.

Here are a few tips to help you get prepared:

-Make an emergency kit that can last at least up to 3 days. (Make sure to have one in your home and in your office.)
-Make an emergency plan for you family.  (It would be ideal to have one in an office as well.)
-Be aware of the weather today as well as the weekly forecast.

Here is a pamphlet (pdf) by ‘Take Winter By Storm’ that is full of useful information, preparedness checklists, emergency contact cards, and so much more! Make sure to print it out and discuss it with your family so you can be prepared for winter!

Stay warm!
